The seats in various NITs will be filled up through a nation wide entrance examination that is to be held on 17^th March 2009. Benaras Hindu University has issued admission notification for Master of Computer Application course for the academic year 2009-10. The entrance test for 57 seats is to be held on May 21, 2009 at 8 am. The emphasis will be on Mathematical Aptitude, Analytical and Logical Reasoning. There will be 100 questions on Mathematical Aptitude and 50 questions from Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The list of the test center includes Kolkata, Varanasi, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai The entrance test fee for the general candidate is Rs.500 and Rs.200 in case of SC or ST. Another admission notification for Master of Computer Application course has been published in a public daily The Hindu, some days ago. It is the Vels University of Chennai, has issued the admission notification for Master of Computer Application course from the 12^th February 2009. Admissions will be made through an entrance examination that is to be held on 14^th May. The cost of the application form is Rs.500/- and the application form can be obtained through cash or demand draft.  The last date of submitting application form is 14^th April, 2009. The form can be downloaded from the official website of the university or can be obtained from a number of selected post offices. Students, who have any degree with Mathematics or Statistics or Mathematical Physics as main/ allied subject can apply. Important details about the entrance examination at a glance:

Admission announcement for the seats under Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi has been published in a Bengali daily Anandabazar Patrika, today. According to the advertisement, the University is going to fill up the seats for Master of Computer Application Department through an all India entrance examination, that is likely to be held in between 25^th to 28^th May, 2009. Application forms and Prospectus for admission are being issued the University from 2^nd February, 2009. Students can collect them either personally from the counter in the Administrative block of the University on cash payment of Rs 200/-  per set from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm on all working days (Monday to Friday) or through post by sending crossed Bank Draft (valid for six months) for Rs 300/- drawn in favor of JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY payable at NEW DELHI along with self addressed (unstamped) envelop of the minimum size of 30 cms X 25 cms, clearly indicating the category for which the Application Form is required on the self addressed envelop to the Deputy Registrar (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067. Money orders and Cheques are not accepted.  Sending requests through Private Courier Services is not allowed.

An advertisement of MCA entrance examination for the seats in SRM University has been published in a daily newspaper The Telegraph on 30^th January. It is offering MCA degree at its Chennai Campus and Kolkata is included in the list of the test centers for the entrance examinations. There are three ways to apply. Both the online and offline application facilities are available. Important details about the entrance examination are given below:

• Issue of application: 28^th January, 2009
• Last date of receipt: 7^th April, 2009
• Entrance Examination: 3^rd May, 2009

Hereby I am going to write something about the upcoming MCA entrance examination of Birla Institute of Technology. According to a website, http://www.indiaedu.com/ ,the date of the entrance examination for this year has been announced and it is 5^th May. The application from will be available from 18^th March, 2009 and the last date of the application form is
20^th April. In case of online application, the application form will be available from 19^th March and the deadline for submitting application form is 28^th April.

But the matter is that I did not find these details at the official website of Birla Institute of Technology that is http://www.bitmesra.ac.in .

And the another fact is that Delhi University has made it clear that no separate entrance examination will be held, admission to MCA for this academic year will be made through JAM, conducted by IIT Kharagpur.

1. MAHARASTRA MAH-MCA-CET 2009:

If you want to manage a seat in any of the numerous colleges in Maharastra, then you have to appear in this entrance examination.  The sale of information brochure for this entrance examination will start from 1^st February and the last date of submitting application form is mid-February.
