Fedora 9 is one of the most user friendly operating systems. Personally I prefer Fedora more than Windows. It works faster and efficiently. Accessing BSNL Data one Broad Band connection from Fedora 9 is a very easy task. But simply speaking, you can go nut, to do it, if you don’t know exactly how to do it.

Anyway, first you have to locate the network icon (looks like a mouse or desktop PC monitor) on the panel.

Right click on it and select “Edit Connection” menu.
Now select “DSL” tab.

Enter “BSNL” for the Connection Name and your user id and password provided by BSNL for the User name and Password fields respectively.
You can leave Service field blank.
Now click on OK and come back to your desktop.

Again click on the network icon and select “BSNL” option. The system will ask for user name and password again. Enter them and click on ok.

The connection will be established within few seconds.

In my case, I have made the connection in this way . Hope you will be successful too. Wish you all the best.Take care.
