FIVE POINT SOMEONE
Among the new generation English writers, Chetan Bhagat is slightly different as he is solely trying to put emphasis on the life of the young generations only. Although he has finished writing of only three novels so far till now but all of them are most popular and best sellers in India. The novels of Chetan Bhagat are nothing but the journal of the young generation, as they describes the various aspects of their life, depicts their joyful or sorrowful experiences etc and many more impeccably. And amongst his novels the Five Point Someone is the best, at least in my view.
‘Five Points Someone’ is an extended fictional work that is nothing but the story about the life of three under performers of IIT, the most renowned engineering institute in India. Ryan, Hari and Alok were the three candidates who managed to get into IIT. But later the systems of IIT and the professors made their life hell. The preferred less study and to play more. They only managed to score merely five points something that is too low for the IIT and that is why the name of the novel is Five Point Someone. Bhagat depicted their lives in IIT, from very beginning to the very end, the last day, in the IIT, how they became friends of each other, how they enjoyed their life in IIT, their troubles, how they finally got rid from these, their love life everything.
