As for me, I prefer Linux more than Windows but I can not ignore Windows as it is one of the most famous operating systems. Really I can not degrade and abandon Microsoft Windows as it is really an extraordinary product but is vulnerable to computer viruses. May be the security of data is the main concern for the Windows users but the main reason behind it is its over growing popularity, that is why the viruses are being created targeting the windows operating system.

Like windows an office software package, a set of multimedia applications, internet browsers, drivers etc nearly everything is available there. But the main problem is that here you can not run .exe files and in the recent time, most of the software packages are being produced targeting windows operating system. Here you need to install software packages like WINE etc to run .exe files. The main advantage that you will get is that, Linux operating system is well protected and not vulnerable to viruses, that is why you can browse the internet freely and don’t need to install any kind of antivirus software if you are using Linux platform.
